Layton Zbornik will perform at the Hudson Public Library. Zbornik began singing at the age of 8, and since then he’s been a teen rocker (under the name Jerry Martin), songwriter, producer, and one of the top radio personalities of the 60’s (as King Zbornik). At age 45, he went to college and became an award winning educator and author. In 1998, Mr. Zbornik was inducted into the Iowa Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and honored for being Iowa’s Rock & Roll pioneer. He has also been featured on Iowa Public Television. Please join us and help welcome Zbornik to Hudson Public Library.

Bring your ugly lamps in to the Hudson Public Library. The lamps will be displayed for two weeks and patrons will vote on the ugliest lamp.

Famed mime, Fax Gilbert will be presenting his program featuring a mixture of comedy, magic, and illusion. There is no cost to attend and the program is open to all ages. The program is sponsored by the Iowa Arts Council and Hudson Public Library Foundation.

UNI financial aid Associate Director Tim Bakula will speak about the best ways to get financial aid and how to manage financial aid after receiving it. Attendees will learn about deferments, loan forgiveness, how aid is determined and awarded, and how to determine what aid is best for you to keep or decline. Whether you’re a traditional student, high school senior, non-traditional student, graduate student, or parent, please comes with questions. Light refreshments will be provided. The program is free, no registration is required.
