Celebrate National Library Week @ Hudson Public Library

Below are some of the events that will be taking place at Hudson Public Library in celebration of National Library Week!


Monday: Afterschool—Girls Book Club, reading 13 Reasons Why by Jay Asher, 4-5 p.m.

Sit n Stitch 6-8 p.m.

Tuesday: Volunteer Appreciation Reception, 9:00-11:00 p.m.

Afterschool Makerspace– Cardboard Camp–create your own puppet theater. 4:00-5:00 p.m.

Civilian Conservation Corps. Dollar-A-Day Boys, 6:30-7:30 p.m.

Wednesday: Preschool Story-time 10:00-11:00 a.m.

Early Out Movie—WALL-E, rated G, 2:00-3:45 p.m.

Thursday: Afterschool—Boys Book Club, reading Wild Life by Cynthia DeFelice. 4:00-5:00 p.m.

Do-It-Yourself Craft Night– Upcycle a jar into a candle holder or vase. 7:00-8:00 p.m.

Friday: Afterschool Bingo and Board Games, 4:00-5:00 p.m.

All Week the library will collect food and personal items in exchange for fines.

1 item = $1 fine. Below restrictions apply.

  • Accepting donations for fines on returned items only
  • No limit to the number of items you can donate.
  • Only food or personal items (no cash) will be donated.
  • No food items with expired labels will be accepted.
  • Personal items accepted (shampoo, conditioner, soap,

      deodorant, toothpaste, toilet paper etc.)

  • You don’t need to have fines to participate. All donations are welcome!
