Get a Library Card today!!

Every parent wants their child to succeed, and one of the simplest ways you can ensure your child’s academic success is by making a quick trip to the library. September is Library Card Sign-up Month, a time when the Hudson Public Library joins with the American Library Association and public libraries nationwide to make sure that every student has the most import school supply of all – a free library card.

Resources at the library are available to anyone who has a library card. Students can turn to the library for materials, programs and services that support academic achievement.

Students can use their library cards from home, too.  Our library offers access to important educational resources, like EBSCOhost (an online information resource that includes full text magazines, newspapers and reference tools) and Learning Express (over 800 online courses, tests, and e-books).

For more information on how to sign up for a library card, visit the Hudson Public Library in person or visit the library online at

This resource is supported by the Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act as administered by State Library of Iowa.
