Hudson Public Library Announces 'Library of Things'

The Hudson Public Library is excited to announce the launch of the Library of Things, a collection of non-traditional items intended to help patrons with access to those items you might need only occasionally or to explore a new hobby or sport.

The collection includes Things such as a film negative and slide converter that converts original physical prints to digital files, 8mm, 16mm, and slide projectors, cake pans, and sporting equipment including a new (donated) collection of 35 disc golf discs to use at Hudson’s new disc golf course! Sporting Things can be checked out by patrons of any age. Technology Things are available for patrons 18 years of age and older. Some basic hand tools and more sporting equipment will be added to the collection.

The initial funding for purchasing items for the new collection is provided by the Hudson Public Library Foundation. Please share your feedback and ideas for developing this exciting new service! For more information on the Library of Things, as well as additional library programming and initiatives, visit the Library at 401 5th St. or call us at 319-988-4217.
