Your Library Card

Who can get a library card, how to apply, and how to use your library card.

Patrons may register for a free library card at the checkout desk.
Bring photo ID with current Iowa address or photo ID with a piece of mail        addressed to you at your current address.
Parents may use their ID to register their child (under 18)  for a library card.
Open Access library cards are available to residents of other counties in Iowa (with a current photo ID and a card from their home library)
Library cards expire every three years.

 * NEIBORs materials include downloadable E-books and audio books.

You may renew items one time for the same check-out period providing there are no reserves on that item. Renewals may be made in-person at the checkout desk, by phone, or on-line at (with account password)
Items may be returned in the outside drop box or at the check-out counter.
Fines and Fees:
Overdue fines are 5 cents a day for all items.
Maximum fines for magazines is $1.00, all other materials the maximum fine is $5.00.
If item is not returned within 4 months of the due date the patron will be charged the replacement cost.
If you have more then $10.00 in fines library privileges are suspended.
Charges may be paid by cash or check at the Circulation Desk.
